Xbox 360 Question, halo 3 legendary maps?

okay so my xbox360 three-ringed a couple of months ago so i sent it in, they sent it back and they gave me a sheet of paper that told me how to get all of my downloaded content (halo3 maps) back. well i did it and on the paper it says that all profiles on the console will be able to use them whether you're signed into xbox live or not, well my 1 yr account ran out and i got a new one and i went to play on the maps and it says i didn't have them and i'd have to pay for em again. i don't know what to do, and i don't want to pay for em again..can anyone help? ten points if it works.

step 1: pick up your xbox360
step 2: go outside
step 3: put it on the floor
step 4: Grab a hammer
step 5: smash it
step 6: get a car
step 7: run over it
step 8: get the rest of it and throw it in the lake
step 9: go to walmart, target, bustbuy, circuitcity etc.
step 10: buy a ps3
step 11: go home
step 12: plug it in
step 13: and be amazed!!!!
