Can I swap my halo 3 account?

So I don't have a 360 yet, I have to wait a week, but I went out and bought halo 3 anyways to play over at my friends house who coincidentaly won't be getting it for a few days. So I it works well for now but I want to know when I get my 360, will there be a way for me to transfer my profile I made on his 360 to mine and use it on Live? I want to get throught the game on legendary but don't want to waste all that time if it won't show up on my gamer tag.

Well my friend it all depends... What you should have done was buy a portable xbox 360 memory card, save your profile to it, and take it over your friends house and use it instead. Truthfully, there is a good possibility that you wont be able to transfer the progress you made onto your 360 because when you saved the info; you saved it using your friends profile. Correct?? So... Yes... everything is saved seperately on the Xbox servers. You can log onto your account from anywhere around the world on any Xbox that is connect to Xbox Live. Good day.
