Can you claim the skulls on Halo 3 if you are playing on co-op?

if you play co-op i belive you can get the skulls.i got to play on co-op i beat it by myself.il try it.but i belive you can just get alot of kills.

you have to be first to pick it up, you can get it on co-op cuz i did mine like that
