well u need live and if u tryin to play ppl that halo 3 with ur halo 2 disc it doesnt work u can message ppl but they cant read ur halo 2 messages with out halo 2 for themselves...
if u have halo 3 on xbox 360 u can play make sure u have the herioc map pack and lendary map pack
