Can you play Halo 3 dlc maps on a new Xbox 360 with an old hard drive?

My Xbox 360 died and im going to buy the arcade so i can get it the cheapest but i want to still use my old hard drive. How can i play the Halo 3 maps on the new xbox 360 arcade with my old hard drive without having to be online? I just want to make more foundry maps!
