Could something in Halo 3: ODST hint at a Halo 4, regardless if it's made by Bungie?

I am a huge Halo fan, and I am thinking that Bungie may add something into Halo 3: ODST to hint at a Halo 4. Or whatever the next game will be that will continue the legacy of John 117 (aka Master Chief). I know that Halo 3: ODST will be set in a seperate time frame, than "Halo 4," but that doesn't mean that Bungie still can't add hints to a "Halo 4." Just because Bungie doesn't make it, doesn't mean that they don't know who is going to. They may be vital in contributing ideas to the next company to carry on MC's legacy.

So far, two people have failed to answer my question. I know that there will be a Halo Reach game after ODST. There is also a rumor of a Halo 4 game being made by a seperate company, since Bungie announced that Reach will be THEIR last game, but not the last game overall. WHAT I NEED AN ANSWER ON IS, WILL ODST HINT AT A HALO 4? I think it's very possible that there will be small hints in the game. Collaboration would be nice. Let's talk.

There pretty much already is a Halo 4... In general, Halo Wars is Halo 4... In the category of FPS, Halo ODST is Halo 4. And they are also coming out with Halo: Reach. I also read on their site and in Game Informer, that they are also coming out with even another 2 Halo's. Hope that was a good explanation! =P

Bungie are going to make another Halo game after ODST.
It's called Halo Reach, but it's not quite a Halo 4 (more of a prequel, it has Spartans but I dont think it has Master Chief).
Edit- I cant really imagine how a story set before Halo 3 can hint at Halo 4, but Halo Reach should be just as good anyways. I wouldn't really want a Halo game not made by Bungie.

Ya tons of things may but no one knows what it could be. It may be the weapons maps story mode or even online that can give you hints.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "Halo 4", bungie already said there wasn't going to be a halo 4, by halo 4 do you mean Halo: Reach? Anyways, I'm sure there will be some references to Master Chief in Halo 3 ODST. Can't wait for it to come out by the way.
