Do you need to hack your psp to play halo 1 on it?

my friend sent me a video that showed a guy playing halo 1 on his psp i put the file on my psp and it said data not supported so i was wondering if you have to hack it (and the video didnt show the guy hacking his psp he just played it)

yes but i wouldnt suggest doing that because if you do and your psp break sony will not fix it
