Does anybody elses game mess up on halo 3 xbox live and why does it?

my game keeps screwing up on xbox live does any one elses? It will put me in a different place and keep doing it. Also once I die sometimes it will take a really long tim to restart

Almost certain it's lag, if you're downloading while playing it online, stop downloading... and you need a broadband connection aswell.

Also, when you create a party press the "X" button and set it to good connection - see if that helps.
