Halo 3 campaign with another person online?

Me and my friend were playing xbox live campaign (2 diff xbox's), and when we started up playing, we have delay's in *jumping, moving, shooting, and punching, ect*, and we dont know how to stop this, we both have good connection "broadband" and we just want know know how to stop this delay

when i press a (jump) it takes a second before it actually jumps, pleaeeaeaease help
it isnt lag, everything runs smoothly just, its a delay...

its most likely lag. Try restarting the game. if that doesn't work make sure that a lot of people aren't using your connection. such as your computer being on or maybe your friends sister is watching youtube videos. anything like that will slow up a connection.
