Halo 3 Co-Op?

is there co-op on halo 3? i know there is online co-op. but am i able to sit with a friend and play co-op with him on my console, split screen?

online co-op only goes to 4 players, either 4 people on 4 xboxes or 4 people on 2 xboxes or 4 people on 3 xboxes. you can play splitscreen co-op with your buddy on your xbox, but it puts you in an xbox live area, you have to make the game setting invite only if you don't want anyone else to join

yes there is. and you can also bring your friend and play online campaign with up to 16 players (supposedly, haven't done it yet. gotten up to 4 players though)
