Halo 3 fileshare question?

How do I get onto somebody's file share without sending them a friend request. I've never met this guy online, so he's not on my recent players list. thanks

The guy above me log_drums is wrong. The easiest way without sending a friend request is to go on bungie.net. Then go to the guys profile by just typing in his gamertag in the search. And you will be able to download everything in his fileshare from there to youre xbox. Only 8 at a time though. Also you could send him a friend request and look at him from there but that guy log_drums is wrong because if you send him the request as long as he's not declining requests or his list is full you can look at his file share. Privacy settings doesn't have anything to do with it.
