halo 3 hype?

am i the only person who hates the halo series dont get me wrong i like the classic games(gta san andreas) for example but for me halo is just go into a room kill covernant go into another room kill flood and repeat on every mission

Icant cant believe you would compare the piece of c**p that is san andreas to halo. Halo has a brilliant storyline, graphics and soundtrack and its multiplayer is unmatchable by any other first person shooter. It deserved the hype!

I've not played it in story mode, but it's excellent for multi-player.

I like how you said, you like the classic games (GTA San Andreas) what is that supposed to mean? Thats not an old game, it is good but no classic yet. Give it a few years and maybe you can call it that. As far as your Halo comment goes, I know your just saying that to cause an uproar because you cant not like Halo 3. It is so well put together and it will be one day be considered a "classic"

Thegame definitly has some repetitive aspects, like most FPS.

It doesn't have the innovative gameplay of something like BioShock, but Halo is definitely one of the best FPS ever.

The multiplayer is great. A lot of different gameplay options and a ton of people from around the world to play against.

I don't think the single player game is as good as people make it out to be.The game is very short and even on Legendary mode not very hard. I have to admit thought the multi-player is great though

F**k the single-player (although the storyline is great), it's the multi-player on Xbox Live is where it comes into its own.

There are game modes for everyone:
Slayer, kill anything that moves.
Team Slayer, work together and kill the other team.
CTF(Capture the Flag), team based attack and defend.
And there are even some stupidly fun ones like Pirate-Sharks.

There are also a great deal of weapons which are excellently balanced.
