halo 3 i can't joint the party because i have the two 360s connected to the same...

...rauter? well my brother inlaw brought his 360 to my house to play halo 3 online both of the 360s have a gold membership, i have a linkys rauter i plug the two 360s to the same rauter. but when i try to join the my brother inlaw party it tells me that i can't join the party because there might be a rauter issue. my rauter settings are the way they suppost to be so i'm sure the rauter is not the issue, i did that before with the original xbox and it didn't give me any issues, is only with the 360s. i don't know if this make sence to anyone but if this issue is happening to you and you solve it please help me out THANKS
