halo 3 multiplayer help?

i started playing halo 3 about 4 days ago and when i am playing on xbox live it does not let me play in hardcore matches etc......... it olny lets me play basic training ( i alreay play like 25 matches) how can i play hardcore matches? what do i need to do?

I think you need a certain number of EXP to be able to play in places other than basic training. You get EXP by winning games, so if you want to be able to play elsewhere, just keep winning!
