Halo 3 ODST Campaign?

So i was playing Co-op campaign and my friend and I beat the first four missions. We decided to take a break, and when we came back we saw that we hadn't unlocked the fifth mission. We replayed the fourth mission and beat it, but then the game just restarted from the first mission.

The thing about ODST is that the you don't have to do the missions in order, (it is free roam) so just go to Mombasa streets and walk around until you find another beacon and do that mission.
