Halo 3: ODST Multiplayer question?

I know ODST comes with halo 3 multiplayer, but if I don't, or have never had Halo 3 will I still be able to play it

you'll be able to play the multiplayer but not the story mode

You will be able to play the Halo3 multiplayer part, but not the Campaign or Co-op Campaign.

no cuz it uses alot of the objects and stuffs from halo 3 that transfers the data cache to the other game off of your 360

Last I heard yes. I believe it has became like it's own game. But still add on to Halo 3
