halo 3 odst Samaritan achievement?

in halo 3 odst i'm trying to get the good samaritan achievment, but everytime i kill the last enemy that was protected by the engineer, if blows up.

I guess what my question is, will them blowing up, result in me not getting this achievement?

Try not to kill the last enemy. I've noticed that even if I don't kill the last enemy though, the engineer still blows up. I think this is due to the Squad Leader being killed. I personally suggest doing a little recon on an Engineered protected Squad. Find out which is the highest ranking brute, and avoid killing him while picking off Minor Brutes, Grunts, and Jackels. If the Engineer just seems to die off anyways, void killing Brutes altogether.

ya your not supposed to kill them but you say you didn't so that is weird they should only blow up when you shoot them all i know is don't kill the engineer
