Halo 3 - online question?

While i was playing halo 3 i noticed i had badge by my name and a badge in my profile. and each time i switch to a new game type (Ex: Rumble pit) the badge by my name switches but the badge in my profile stays the same. Is the badge in my profile the overall ranking i have on the game and the one by my name the ranking i have on the game type im playing on?

After the latest update, They made every playlist it's own little section. So that you would play against people that are the same level as you in a specific playlist... Such as Team Doubles. Before the update, if you were a 30 in doubles, you would sometimes get matched up with people that are 30 in doubles but a 50 in team slayer. Now that doesn't happen. You play with people that are EXACTLY matched with you. And they decided to add new bling to the other playlists to show how much you play that specific playlist. Like rumble pit. Lol, hope I helped.
