Halo 3 or Call Of Duty 4?

I will be getting an Xbox 360 Elite soon. And I was wondering which game I should get first, after considering some other games, I thought of two FPS games because I love them.
But I can't decide wether I should get Halo 3 or Call Of Duty 4. Both are good and bad in their own ways....what is your opinion?

Call of duty by FAR. it has upgradeable weapons like if you get 25 kills with a gun you can put an attachment on called a red dot sight. in call of duty 4 you rank up on how you did and in halo 3 you go up by the number of matches you won. so you could kick butt in one match but lose because your team sucked so you dont gain any points to level up. call of duty for has amazing maps and halo 3s are stupid. and call of duty has more types of games to play. CALL OF DUTY 4

Call of Duty 4...the campaign mode is really short but the online play is AMAZING

it depends....if you usually play by yourself i recommend call of duty 4 but if like to have people up to play games halo3 would be your best bet
