Halo 3 players answer??

hi im a complete noob at halo 3 ive played campaign and stuff but never online (xbox live) i just got my gold membership today... i want to know how to join an online game, of the type i want with real people that actually talk. i went on matchmaking and everyone seemed like bots because there were 5 guys with the same name except with [1] after ones name and [2] after the next and so on... so how do i just join a regular game with regular people, i would prefer CTF. thanks!

if a guy has more than one name that probaly means there is more than one person playing on that system but

those aren't bots but i think guests of the player w/o the number, anyway go to matchmaking and select social skirmish,rumble pit, slayer ,etc.... you can also go on xbox live marketplace and get the maps u need for ranked play ( i like this better then social, also there is team objective in ranked play which has ctf)

go to match making, then make sure it says open x box live or something then go to start match making
