halo 3 skull question?

Hi. Im doing campain on medium but i just started on medium. I spent a lot of time of live.anyway im on the first mission (arrival or something like that) so i found the first skull but i cant pick it up. what do i press? or do i have to beat it on meduim first? please help.

u press the RB button like you do picking up weapons. The thing is, that it doesn't show u the option of doing it. you just have to hold it, and walk over the skull. If it's a gold skull, within a few seconds, an achivement will appear with the skull name. if it's a silver skull, stand still for about 5 seconds and u will have it. You can check if you have a skull by going to the campain lobby and press X.
