Halo 3 skull question?

In Halo 3, to collect the skulls do you have to start from the "mission start" of each level? Or can you just start from the point in the mission in which the skull is in?

You have to start the level from the beginning, its the only way to get it

Best way to find out is to try it dude. I know it has to be higher than the easiest difficulty. I got all the skulls a long time ago, and I remember one skull which is on top of a circular like building where a wraith and a few ghosts are movng about never wanted to appear for me. I kept trying it over, and over, I don't know what I did but I eventually got it.
