Halo 3- toggle name display?

On Halo 3, is there any way to toggle the display of the character's name above his head during multiplayer? It's really annoying and destroys the concept of stealth.

No, in game mechanics such as that are not able to be switched cause if you could, i'd immediately get rid of aim assist haha.
