halo 3 xbox 360 live?

how do i play live on halo 3? i just got the 360 yesterday so im sort of a noob at this so yeah...how? can i have a step by step information thing? thanks

first u need to set-up ur connection through a router and a modem
next you have to set up a xboxlive gold account (so u have to pay $50 to get started) and then sign-in
then enter ur halo 3 disk and start playing through matchmaking!

Go to matchmaking, pick what you wanna play (big team social etc.) then press start matchmaking and you should find a match!
