Halo the movie?

Is there going to be a film about the xbox game "HALO"?
if so when? and who will take main role?

Ok, the movie was supposed to come out somewhere within the next two years. The Producers are Peter Jackson and his wife. The special effects were going to be made at WETA, the place where they made the Lord of the rings FX. The script was written by the Alex Garland, but then dropped for unknown reasons. The director is Neill Blomkamp. Fox and Universal were supposed to be the companies of this film but backed out because of money. So now the movie is POSTPONED TILL FURTHER NOTICE. D.B. Weiss is writing a new script (don't know if it's done) that incorporates some of Alex's stuff.
NO ACTORS whatsoever have been chosen (that anyone knows about), that means no Samuel L Jackson. (for now) ;-)

Halo the movie has been slated for production. But i'm not quite sure whether they have a script,cast and a director attached. But if they have, it's to be released in 2009.

The movie was supposed to come out this year but got held back b/c of producer problems. Samuel L Jackson is supposed to play Johnson but the Master Chief is still a mystery. It is set to come out next year, or so ive heard. oh the delay was due to Peter Jackson and his problem w/ New Line and him wanting to make The Hobbit.
