You know how when you select a unit that has had some combat experience they have like 1, 2 or 3 stars above them what do the stars mean or do?

it means how many times they have survived battles so how much of a veteran they are as well as how upgraded that class is which also makes them more of a veteran the stars dont appear every time they win a battle so dont expect them to though
