I recieved it in the mail and opened it up right away. After about three minutes of looking around the menu, it froze. I shrugged it off the first time so one again I put it back in. The screen turned blue and it gave me the red ring. Now my x-box refuses to play any other game. This happen wiht anyone else?

congratulations, you got the legendary "red ring of death"

microsoft cheaped out on heat insulators, soeveryone with a 360 will eventually experience an Xbox "death"

luckily, Xbox has increased warranties to 3 years, so they'll repair your Xbox for free

it wasn't Halo 3 that caused this problem it is your xbox's internal hardware itself... trust me when I bought my 360 brand new this past Feb it started freezing on games the very next day... after one repair (came back more broken then went int) and an exchange I have yet to have another problem...

plus remember the 360 is basically a computer and it will freeze from time to time but if it's always happening and now you got the three red lights aka the ring of death then ya call 1-800-4MY-XBOX trouble shoot it with the reps over the phone and they will eventually deem it needs repair and ship you a box to send it back...

be advise it's about a 3-4 week turn around from the day you call till the day you get it back... oh and ps they will not refund your lost time from live unless I think it is like 90 days or more or something like that...

at least we can say one good thing from Microsoft they have acknowledge the problem and continue to extend the warranty until they get it right for sure
