help with Legendary? (Halo 3)?

I'm planning to get all the achievements.

still got a long way but i want to get legendary first.

So if anyone can help me with beating legendary would be awesome.
I live alone so I can't get anyone to play with me. Plus i hadn't had xbox live long enough to have alot of friends.

buy another controller and play co-op then just leave the guy in a safe spot unlimited respawns, and just go out and kill
