How do I get my screen to display properly on 360 elite? Halo 3?

My new 360 displays correctly when not on the game but as soon as I go onto the game itself ie. story mode, the screen goes small, like a 28 inch display. Its 32 inch hdmi tv.

make sure that its all set up right in the TV settings. or look in the 360 settings and make sure that its set up for your size of TV when playing the game. hopefully that should do the trick.
