how do you get the flames for your helmet on halo 3?

the flames are something only bungie employees have. No one else will get flames for their helmet. The helmet under the flames is Recon. You can get the recon armor by impressing bungie in some way in halo 3. Either making a kick ass map gametype using the forge or impressing them in a tournament.

You can't get the flames or the recon helmet unless you: A). Work for Bungie, or B). Send in a flippin sweet saved film that Bungie thinks is awesome/wierd/cool enough to award you with either the flaming head or recon armor. Like one guy shot a safety cone with a rocket launcher and the cone bounced back to him, hit him in the head, and killed him. Yeah, he got recon for that
