How do you get to change your armour on Halo 3?

I know how to get armour but i don't know how to change your existing armour, please help!

Settings > Appearance > *Your Gamertag* > Armour

Try pausing the game with the start button and perhaps u can then change it from the menu that comes up.

press start and go over to appearance

you can also unlock armor playing matchmaking
