How does the Arbiter get back to Earth in the end of Halo 3?

It shows master chief and him get in the Dawn, they leave, and then nothing. How does this happen that he is put back on earth while MC is not?

Yes it does show the ship crash landing on Earth. You'll see a few marines helping the Arbiter out. Master Chief and the Arbiter went on the same ship. That place they were trying to get away from exploded right after they got on more, and some how, cut the ship in half. The Chief was on the part of the ship that didn't make it back to Earth. If you watch to the end of the credits though, you'll see that he is still alive. And he freezes himself in one of those tube things, like the one he was in in the first Halo.

Hmmm, I havent seen the part where the Arbiter's part of the ship crashes on Earth. I guess I wasnt paying much attention. But yeah everything else that High said is what happens. And if you beat the last lvl on Legendary you get to see the extended ending that shows MC and Cortana floating towards an unknown planet. Most assume that it is the planet Onyx. :)
