How revolutionary do you guys think halo 1 was?

Me and my buddy here are in a debate. Unfortunately he doesn't know how to properly debate a subject as all he knows is insults. Like "you're retarded" and "Halo sucks shit" and "are you high"? I would like to show him this yahoo answers page from a completely random community so that he can see that I am not just being a fanboy.

Well, I can say that Halo 1 laid the foundations of what we have in the Halo franchise today. They have impeccably improved on the game ever since. So, it's a very big win as far as I'm concerned.

Eventually, the world will pay homage to what the first Halo game did for the franchise. If there was no Halo 1, there wouldn't be Halo Infinite today. Everything was built on the success of Halo 1.
