how to level up on halo 3 in the online?

here is the level and experience needed to get to a certain rank. in order to rank up u need to win battles, in order to level up u hav to win ranked matches, even if u dont level up right away, u hav to keep winning to level up. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Rank_%28Halo_3%29
