i have halo 3 but when ever i try to join my freinds party it wont let me go to it

Test your xbox settings by going to the dashboard> all the way to the right blade> net work> test xbox live connection. If the last catagory (NAT) says strict or moderate, follow the steps bellow

you need to open your NAT. Find your gateway.( you will probobly find this near where you find your ip adress on your comp) type that into your default internet brwser. type in ur pass. find your xbox's ip adress by going to the dashboard> all the way to the right blade> net work> edit xbox live settings> you should see your xbox's IP. Now go back to the router and find in the page after you punch in the password where it says DMZ. enable it then type in your xbox's ip.
