I need help with Halo Wars on the legendary setting for mission 5 Arcadia.?

On the mission in arcadia where you have to rescue the survivors, I can't get past the end (on legendary) where Serena tells me that plasma turrets are coming online. The covenant always kill my trasport ship and I have to restart the mission. Help pls :)
