in the level halo in halo 3, how do you kill the moniter?

it's kinda in the beginning of the level halo in halo 3, and the moniter is like impossible to kill, how do you kill it?

if your are talknin ab the little floating ball guy u just wait till u get the spartan laser i think its after the cutscene and then just light him up while dodging his attacks. good luck

heres something cool you can do. before you enter the boss room, when you're walking down the hall, beat the crap out of Johnson. he'll fall down "dead" and drop his laser. pick it up quick. it has infinite ammo. dont worry about Johnson, he'll get back up quickly. youu can even repeat this. so grab 3 other friends, and fry the monitor's ass!
