is halo 3 good?

ok i am not a halo fan but i cannot pass up a good game. i just want to know what makes halo 3 so great because so far i am not really that impressed. by the way i have not played it so i would like to know every detail. thanks.

It is considered one of the greatest games because of its online play, if you do not have xbox live, the game will last maybe 9 hours, but with it it lasts forever. online multi-player is really well made and very fun, one of the best games out there really.

If you don't have Live, its ok. The campaign mode is kinda short. Halo's power comes from its multiplayer , so if you don't have Live, there's better FPS out there.
