Is Halo 3 worth buying an Xbox360?

I'm already leaning towards buying a 360. but im wondering if Halo 3 is really all its hype (and presales) suggests.

yes its worth it plus the xbox 360 has many good games like call of duty 3, dead rising, saints row, assassin creed and much more.

no. dont buy a system for one game. thats stupid. look into it and make sure you like other games as well. i am sure its only going to take about 3 days to beat halo. then you have to just play online all the time. im sure its fun but you have to have other games as well.
