Is it possible for me to obtain recon in Halo 3? Katana?

Im noticing people with Recon Armor and Katana in Halo 3, but I am unsure if it is a Bungie exlusive and so on. If you could help, please do so =)

supposbly you need all the original 1000 gamer points to get it. this is not the case because i did that. it kept showing up and i would equip it, then it would dissapear. doesnt nessesarily have to be the original ones(ive looked at peoples profiles who had it but didnt have all the originals) but it does have to be over 1000. i got mine around 1100, it usually doesnt take that long but bungie hates me =)

RECON
you need to get all the vidmaster achievements, which one right now is impossible to get, seeing as neither of the mythic map packs and one of the achievements is revolved around finding mythic skulls... SOMETIMES bungie will have a contest that coule be anything from submitting videos to winning a tournament or drawing to give it away. sometimes. dont bank on getting it that way, ive never seen anyone with it and i play alot. like everyday since launch alot

No i believe to get the recon armour, You can't say anything harmful or stuff like that(like swears or things about players). The katana tho im not sure about.

if you want to get the katana by achieving all of the original achievments and the recon armor is only if you have a bunch of videos on line that bungie likes then they will give it to you
