Is there going to be a halo movie?

So is there just not going to be a halo movie or is there going to be one?

Just read an article on that over the week end. Apparently, while the project is still 'on the books' the studios are angry at Peter Jackson for suing for his money, and all the other various people connected at one time or the other have either backed off or been let go. The studios are worried about the projected astronomical costs, while the others are worried about not being allowed to fulfill their vision. I think it will eventually get done..just whether in our life time or not is up to debate.

Bungie studios and Microsoft was basically asking for a budget of Star Wars-esque sizes, and the partnership between Universal Studios and 20th century Fox balked at it, and abruptly backed out. Microsoft tried securing fundings from other studios, including Warner Bros. and Paramount, but for now, it remains suspended indefinitly until it can secure funding.

it is thought that it is because it is projected way over budget, already at a herculean 135 million. Peter Jackson is optimistic, hoping the studios will reconsider when they see the Halo hype first hand at the release of Halo 3.

PLEASE STOP MAKING MOVIES BASED ON VIDEO GAMES!!!! The best was Resident Evil and it still sucked. Just stop! If we stop making VG movies maybe Uwe Boll will stop making movies altogether.
