on my xbox it has hard time readin my halo 2 maps how to help this?

hey i have a xbox and i played halo all the time i signed up for live and played matchmaking and it takes awhile and i found out why it takes soo long becuz my maps take a while to load, so i tried custom games and it takes forever does anyone know how i can fix this
