troubles loading the new halo 3 maps after getting xbox 360 hardrive?

i just my new 60 GB hardrive and immediately downloaded the halo 3 legendary/heroic map packs(also cold storage). When i tried playing them on online, custom games, forge, or even just playing campain mode local it never loaded. Not even the original maps(like last resort, gardian) worked. It would go to 20% or so and start over and then say failed to load. When i took my hardrive out and played again everything worked, but i didnt have the new maps....how can i get halo working w/ my hardrive in and playing w/ the new maps?~?~? please help
