What do you do on Halo 3 when you run out of ammo for both guns?

I'm fighting all these aliens by myself, and I can't turn around 'cause the door's lock, and I'm out of ammo in both of my guns. Idk what to do next! I already stole a gun from an alien and I used all that up, and I'm afraid if I get too close to steal another I'll die.

your just gonna have to look for another gun cause there is no way to refill ammo, unless you find it
