It's an RTS.

You basically watch from the sky as your Tanks and Soldiers fight the covenant's. It's a strategy game.

So you won't be shooting any guns.

well its about before halo 1 obviously and its a strategy game like command and conquer where u send troops, tanks, and other things to conquer covenant strongholds im sure theres a storyline
