What was the point of the Master Chief surviving in Halo 3 if there isn't going...

...to be a Halo 4? Seems stupid to me to show him surviving and then not bother to make a Halo 4 to continue the story and make millions more £/$, or am I the only one who thinks this?

(By the way, you will only see this ending if you complete the entire last level named Halo on Legendary difficulty, it is very hard so do it in co-op mode with a friend or you will not live to see the ending)
You may be able to find the video of the ending I'm talking about on youtube but I'm not sure.

well i read in a game informer magazine that their will be a halo 4 i have 2 views on that first i think by halo 4 that they mean Halo Wars which is just a stratagy game u dont even fight, my second view is they really are making a halo 4 and the whole like finish the fight thing refers to the Flood and like the covenant and halo 4 will be brand new aliens and brand new enemies and stuff BUT it might not be as flashy sicne bungie (creators of halo) left microsoft so ya. hope i helped
