What's going on with Halo 3?

When I try to play a game, I can usually get into one, but then I suddenly leave, does anyone know what's going on?

Scratched disc. It happened to me too. Try a friend's copy and if it works then your disc is messed, if it doesn't then it's your Xbox. Just take it back to where you bought it and ask for a new one if it is the disc. Or, go to xbox.com and you can order a new copy for half price, if the store won't replace it. If stuff like this happens for other games, and your Xbox makes grinding noises, then you might get the red rings soon. :'( Hope your problem gets fixed soon.
