What's Halo 3, and what's all the fuss over?

I know it's a video game, but why does it make national news when it comes out?
Is it really that good?

Doh, It's the thing that I've been doing for the past day since it came out! It has a compelling storyline and is one of the best first person shooters of all time!

Putting trip mines so they shoot out of the man cannon is fun. Noobs just land where the trip mine is, and *blam* betrayal.

The First 2 were considered the greatest FPS's of all time. X-Box Mag said that Halo blew open the wall between FPS and Society with a rocket launcher

Halo 3 is the final chapter of a trilogy started in 2001 by Halo, on the Xbox platform. It's considered revolutionary in it's gameplay and story. Halo 2 game out in 2004, and also was heralded, especially for its excellent online multiplayer. Halo has been considered the 'Star Wars' of the Video Game world and should be a must play for casual and hardcore players. they were the first like awsome fps shooters for the xbox... halo 1 and 2. it came out today! i got my copy and im enjoying every second of it. it is really "that" good... its awsome, its fun and i think you can into it. its really really good dude. but you might have some trouble finding it cuz everyone like reserved or pre oredered theres. i pre ordered mine.

No it's not! The graphics are magical. The campaign took 6 hours to finish. The multiplayer....well I can't describe. FAST I guess would sum it up. I have less than 10 kills out of hundreds the other folks are getting. I'm a average gamer too. Trick is to pick up a better weapon while on the run. Look 360 degrees at all times. Toss a grenade to cover where you think some might be coming too. Then get killed. What a waste of my gamin cash.My copy is will be sold ASAP I hope. GRAW is the best game experience out there in my opinion and others I've polled. I give the game 10 for graphics.....1 for this multiplayer joy. It's way to technical for the average gamer like me who just wants to be in the game.
I noticed they released it on a full Moon too. I think there's a connection. About national news, hmmm ... follow the money!
