whats so good about halo 3?

to be honest, its nothing special but everyone seems to love it, why!?

The gameplay isn't great, but you can get very competitive at the same time. If you force yourself to use only a single weapon in the game, say, brute shot, mauler or sniper rifle, you can have a lot more fun.

The only reason I play games like that myself is for the Sniper rifle, or for the 'forge' modes which allow you to create the maps. The only reason I'm buying Far Cry: II Is because of the map editor. It's the same as Halo's only it's a lot more advanced.
