when you play halo 3 on campaign to get a skull do you have to start from

mission start and be on legendary? im playing halo 3 and i know where the skulls are but there not there so does it have to be on legendary and start at mission start

To get the skulls you have to start at the beginning of the level on a Normal or higher difficulty setting

The thunderstorm skull has to be collected on legendary setting
